History

With friendships that span over a decade, The Silo was founded with love and respect for each other’s craft. Over the years we have intentionally formed a community of warm creative artists. The three of us connected over our love for musicals, westerns, and all things queer. We have a dedication to the LGBTQ+ community and showing the breadth that it has to offer. There is nothing as powerful as seeing yourself represented like never before.

Our name stems from the old adage, “we got a barn, let’s put on a show,” which is indie filmmaking in a nutshell. Don’t wait for permission, make a movie with what you got. We may not have a backlot (or even a barn), but we’ve got something better—a community of driven and talented artists hellbent on making movie musicals.
